This woman riding on top of a car hood on a busy Houston highway has been circulating the web for a few days and now, the woman is telling her story.
Chantal Thompson is the woman shown in the above video riding on the hood of a car on Highway 290.
HOUSTON HIGHWAYS: Surprise! Most congested roadway in Texas is in Houston
Thompson told KTRK that she “jumped” on the Chevy Impala after getting in a “heated” argument with the father of her child.

HIGHWAY HIJINKS: Pranksters play beer pong in the middle of Houston street
Thompson claims the man was attempting to steal her vehicle, so she jumped on the hood. He allegedly drove off and that’s where the video picks up.
Thompson said she was on the phone with police while she was on the car’s hood and that the driver eventually stopped and the police stepped in. No charges have been reported.
