A woman is dead after she slammed her vehicle into an undercover Houston police car on the North Freeway Monday morning.
The woman, described only as being in her late 20s, was driving northbound after 12 a.m. when it appears she suffered a medical emergency near the Crosstimbers exit that caused her to lose control of her car, said William McPherson with the Houston Police Department.
The woman hit the back of a car in use by on-duty Houston police officer. The officer was undercover so the car was not marked.
By the time additional police arrived to the crash, the woman had died. Officers did not release her identity Monday morning.
The police officer was not injured.
