A new video shows the moment eight survivors are rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard.

On Saturday, a rogue wave capsized a boat, causing a collision with another nearby boat, and leaving 8 stranded survivors off the coast of Port Aransas, near Corpus Christi.

The rescue effort, which was caught on video, was spearheaded by Coast Guard crews and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

One of the survivors was an 85-year-old man, who suffered a severe hip injury and compound fracture, according to a news release by the U.S. Coast Guard.

First responders used a helicopter and medevaced the injured man, while other crew helped the remaining survivors. No deaths or other injuries were reported.

Last week, the U.S. Coast Guard rescued an injured crewman from an offshore oil supply ship after he fell from the vessel, breaking an arm and a leg. His vessel, the “Papa John,” was found roughly 15 miles off the coast of the Texas Point Wildlife Refuge, near Port Arthur.
