Authorities also arrested Erasmo Zapata, 45, after he turned himself into police in San Patricio County, near Corpus Christi. Zapata was a fugitive on Texas’ list of most wanted sex offenders.

In 2006, he was convicted of two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of indecency with a child/sexual contact involving a 12-year-old-girl, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. He was wanted by police since January 2017 for parole violation.

The two recent arrests bring the total of tip reward payouts to $48,000 in 2017, which has seen 17 of Texas’ “Most Wanted” arrested.
