Two Houston men are facing murder charges after a Wednesday evening fatal shooting in east Houston, according to Houston police.

Rickey Bridgewater and Donnelle Robinson are accused of gunning down a man with an assault rifle during a shoot-out in the 800 block of Fidelity.

Houston police found the victim riddled with gunshot wounds sometime after 5:30 p.m. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said Tuesday his name had not been released, but court documents identify the victim as Alan Neal.

Near the scene, officers found Bridgewater and Robinson, both shot and sitting in a car. They were taken to a nearby hospital and later charged with murder.

Police have not clarified what led to the gunfire, but both suspects are behind bars awaiting a Sept. 8 court date.
