A 28-year-old Plano man accused of killing his father with a steel rod and hiding his body in a freezer has been indicted by a grand jury, reports WFAA.

Kenneth Alleman Midgley Jr. was arrested in late April while allegedly attempting to flee to Mexico.

Weeks earlier, police discovered the body of his father, Kenneth Alleman Midgley, 50, after the son left a note for police indicating where he had hidden the body, according to an arrest affidavit acquired by FOX 4.

Midgley Jr.’s handwritten note simply said, “It’s in the freezer.”

Police originally checked on the household after the suspect’s sister said she hadn’t heard from her father in a few days, according to the police documents. The sister also told police the suspect said to their mother, “You can’t talk to dad because he’s not alive.”
