Texas high school coach arrested outside track meet on arson charge

A coach at Keller Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Worth was arrested Thursday on arson charges. 

Michael Graham Long, 58, was outside of a track meet when officers detained him for an incident related to his former Weatherford home, which burned to the ground three months ago, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram

He’s been charged with arson with intent to damage a habitat or place of worship. He posted bond and was released the same day.

He has no prior criminal record.

A GoFundMe account raised more than $6,000 after his house was declared a total loss. 

Long is facing a first-degree felony charge.
