A section of the eastbound lanes of the Katy Freeway near downtown Houston was completely shut down for about two hours Thursday night due to a heavy truck accident.
The lanes were closed shortly after 8 p.m. at Interstate 10 East and Houston Avenue. Houston police said the semi-trailer lost its load, scattering debris of a large section of the road.
There were no reported injuries from the accident.
The lanes were reopened for traffic about 10 p.m., according to Houston TranStar.
