Stabilizing oil prices are pushing more companies to drill just south of San Antonio. Figures released April 14 in the Baker Hughes Rig Count show that there are now 75 active rights in the Eagle Ford Shale. The number of active rigs in the Eagle Ford fell to a low of 29 in June 2016 but now stands at October 2015 levels. Meanwhile, the Permian Basin of West Texas continues to heat up.
