Reddick, who won an American League Gold Glove Award with the A’s in 2012, has primarily played right field in his career. This year, he has made 13 starts in right and one in left. Reddick started 10 games in center during his Gold Glove-winning season.

The catch kept Astros starter Dallas Keuchel from allowing a second earned run in his start, which he had yet to do any of his first four outings prior to Tuesday. Austin Jackson homered off Keuchel in the third inning — the third homer allowed by the lefty this year. Reddick made sure Kipnis didn’t make it four.
