Police are looking for a suspect who fired multiple shots at a man early Friday morning at a northeast Houston gas station.

Around 5:40 a.m., the 25-year-old man pulled into the gas station at 10102 Homestead, when the suspect approached and asked him for money.

The victim walked away from the suspect and went inside the gas station store, but when he returned the suspect fired multiple shots at him in the chest and leg.

The man eventually ran to the gas station for help, and also trekked across the street to another corner store for assistance.

After following the victim across the street, the suspect returned to the original gas station and fled the scene in the victim’s red Honda Civic.

Paramedics transported the shooting victim to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he is now in stable condition.

Police hope to review surveillance video from both corner stores in hopes of catching the suspect.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477 or HPD’s robbery division at 713-308-0700.
