Three people were arrested Friday after a 9-month-old girl was found to have a “heavy” amount of methamphetamine in her system, the Lubbock-Avalanche Journal reports.

The child’s parents, 19-year-old Destiny Lozano, 26-year-old Ricky Ricardo Hernandez and his grandfather, 58-year-old Recardo Hernandez, face charges of injury to a child.

Hospital staff alerted police they believed the infant had the controlled substance in her system. Officers were called out at roughly 5:40 a.m., the Police Chief Dale E. Alwan Sr. told the Lubbock outlet.
