An overturned 18-wheeler carrying propane shuttered a Loop 610 ramp Sunday morning in the southeast part of the city, according to police.

The tractor trailer wreck – deemed a minor accident – forced authorities to shutdown the exit ramp around 9 a.m. at Loop 610 and State Highway 225.

Nobody was hurt in the crash and the overturned truck did not leak any fluids onto the road or start any fires, police said.

Freeway traffic kept flowing as usual while authorities worked to clean up the ramp, but authorities have asked drivers to find alternate routes to avoid the area as crews offload the propane onto an undamaged tanker.

The northbound and southbound I-610 East Loop exit ramps onto Highway 225 as well as the Lawndale and Broadway entrance ramps to Highway 225 will be shuttered for several hours as clean-up continues.
