Houston’s Memorial Hermann Health System announced Aug. 28 that its Sugar Land hospital will temporarily close until further notice as a proactive measure amid continued flooding from Harvey. Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital is near the Brazos River, which is rising and posing a severe flooding threat to the area, according to an update on the system’s website.
