A man was killed outside a Gulf gas station in northwest Houston in an overnight outburst of violence.

Police responded to reports of a shooting just after 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning at North Shepherd and Curtin.

Witnesses said a car drove by and opened fire, according to KPRC. When police arrived on the scene, they found the victim dead on the ground outside the gas station.

The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was shot in the chest, police said Sunday morning. It’s unclear whether suspects are in custody.
