Houston restaurateur connected to illegal fishing operation, state authority says

The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department said in an April 5 release that Houston restaurateur Bruce Molzan, 59, has been connected to an illegal fishing network that “could be the largest of its kind in Texas history.” TPWD said Molzan allegedly purchased and sold about 28,000 pounds of unlawfully-caught finfish through “restaurant businesses he is associated with” for a profit of around $400,000, according to a release.
