The Houston Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection to a 2014 murder.

Crime Stoppers of Houston recently released surveillance footage of the suspect fleeing from the residence of Kevin Paddio, a 45-year-old man who was stabbed several times in his northeast Houston home.

Police said Paddio might have known his killer since there was no evidence of forced entry and the suspect appeared to be familiar with the layout of the house.

Paddio, a caregiver in an elderly people’s home, was stabbed with a chef’s knife in what police said was a very violent attack.

Crime Stoppers of Houston describe the suspect as a black male with a mustache and slim build.

A reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
