The Harris County Animal Shelter is swamped with a wave of new puppies in need of homes.

According to a Facebook post by the shelter, 59 puppies were taken in on Friday despite already being four times over capacity.

“The shelter is full,” detailed the post. “So full that sweet dogs and cats who have done nothing wrong but exist may never see sunshine and grass again.”
