Elderly man wanted in Greater Third Ward murder

An elderly shooter killed a man Saturday evening in the Greater Third Ward, according to police. 

When officers responded to a shooting call around 5:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Brailsfort, they found a victim lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. 

He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died. Houston police did not immediately release the man’s identity.


According to witnesses, the victim had been arguing with two men just before the shooting. Afterward, they rifled through his pockets and stole unknown items before fleeing on foot. 

The shooter is described as a man with a small build between 60 and 70 years old. The other suspect was larger and 30 to 40 years old.
