Wood, the only replacement to join the National League squad, takes the place of teammate Clayton Kershaw, who is the Dodgers’ scheduled starting pitcher for Sunday’s contest against the Royals.

It is the first career All-Star selection for Wood, who tied a team record on Wednesday when he became the fifth Dodgers pitcher to begin a season 10-0. The five-year veteran, who has a 1.67 ERA and 97 strikeouts in 80 2/3 innings, joins teammates Cody Bellinger, Kenley Jansen, Corey Seager and Justin Turner on the active roster. The six Dodgers’ All-Star selections, including Kershaw, are the most of any NL team.

Archer, 28, joins teammates Corey Dickerson and manager Kevin Cash in Miami as he receives his second career All-Star selection. The Tampa Bay right-hander is 7-5 with a 3.95 ERA and 139 strikeouts in 166 1/3 innings.

This is the eighth time Cano has been selected to an All-Star team, tying the Cardinals’ Yadier Molina for the most career appearances among this year’s All-Stars. The 34-year-old second baseman, batting .275 with 17 home runs and 60 RBIs, joins Nelson Cruz as the only two Seattle All-Stars.

Devenski, Kintzler and Osuna, each a standout reliever for their respective clubs this year, all are going to the Midsummer Classic for the first time in their careers.

The 26-year-old Devenski is 6-3 with a 2.09 ERA for Houston, which has an AL-most six All-Stars. Devenski, who joins teammates Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa, Lance McCullers Jr., George Springer and Keuchel, has racked up 72 strikeouts in 51 2/3 innings, the third-most in team history by a reliever before the All-Star break.

Kintzler earned his first trip to the Midsummer Classic by going 2-1 with a 2.35 ERA and 23 saves for the surprising Twins. He joins teammates Miguel Sano and Ervin Santana on the team.

Osuna joins fellow Blue Jay Justin Smoak at the All-Star Game as he earns his first-ever selection. The 22-year-old Toronto closer is 2-0 with a 2.06 ERA and 22 saves.

This is the fourth All-Star selection for Justin Upton, who will represent the AL for the first time. The 29-year-old outfielder, hitting .271 with 15 home runs and 54 RBIs, joins Fulmer as the only Tigers on the AL roster.
