“I can move my hand really good,” Correa said Sunday. “It’s still a little sore, because I got hit by 95 [mph], not by something soft. I’m ready to go. I think I’ll be able to go tomorrow.”

Correa was struck on the outside of the left hand by a fastball thrown by reliever Frankie Montas and said he feels fortunate because the ball hit a meaty part of the inside of the side of his hand. Sunday’s rainout means Correa won’t miss a game.

“I told skip I’m still down for 162,” he joked. We’ll see.”

Astros manager A.J. Hinch said he texted with Correa on Saturday night and was relieved he was feeling better, but he still wanted to keep him out of Sunday’s lineup as a precaution.

“This morning he woke up and felt a little bit better,” Hinch said. “It’s sore as expected. I wasn’t going to play him, but he would have been available in an emergency here if I needed him.”

Correa is hitting .234 this season, including 2-for-18 in his last four games. He has only one extra-base hit this season, which came when he hit a home run on Opening Day.
