Marwin Gonzalez took over the at-bat and struck out, a K that was charged to Correa. That ended Correa’s 27-game on-base streak, which was the second longest in club history by a shortstop.

Correa, who started at shortstop last week for the American League in the All-Star Game presented by Mastercard, entered Monday ranked fourth in the AL with a .970 OPS. He was hitting .442 in his previous 12 games, with six homers and 18 RBIs.
