Cocaine and $130,000 of heroin found in Texas traffic stop

A Walker County Sheriff’s Office Deputy and his K9 partner uncovered a large amount of cocaine, heroin and money during a traffic stop on Wednesday.

Deputy Beeman and his K9 partner Akie conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 45 N. on June 28. Deputy Beeman said he received consent to search the vehicle by the driver and occupants. He claimed they appeared nervous and had conflicting stories.

Willie Craig, Navonte White and Tearira Johnson were arrested after the deputy located a hidden compartment and allegedly discovered 15 pounds of powder cocaine, half a pound of heroin, which has the street value of $130,000 and $128,222 in U.S. currency.
