Eleven neighborhoods in Brazoria County that receive service from Undine LLC remain under a boil water notice due to flooding from Hurricane Harvey.

Undine said Tuesday that concerns about contaminants following severe flooding have led to the continued boil water notice.

The advisory applies to neighborhoods in five cities. They are:

  • Alvin: Country Acres Estates, Mark V Estates, Colony Trails Subdivision
  • Angleton: Wilco Water Co. customers
  • Brazoria: Bernard Oaks Subdivision
  • Pearland: Ryan Long, Ryan Long Subdivision 2
  • Rosharon: Riverside Estates, Colony Cove, Briar Meadows and Bayou Colony

Elsewhere in the county, officials announced Tuesday that they will allow residents of mandatory evacuation zones to return home, provided they show proof of residency.

The entire western half of the county has been under mandatory evacuation for 10 days due to flooding from the Brazos and San Bernard rivers, as well as local creeks, bayous and other smaller bodies of water.
