Houston is loaded with neighborhoods, some good, and some not-so-good.

To help local parents give the world to their families, Niche updated their list of the best neighborhoods in the Bayou City to raise a family for 2107.

FROM THE LIST: The Woodlands ranked as the 6th best city to live in U.S. in 2017

Niche’s best neighborhood for families list isn’t centralized in one certain area of Houston, but instead, is scattered throughout the metropolis. From The Woodlands in the north to Sugar Land in the west to Clear Lake in the southeast, Houston parents have a wide range of neighborhoods to choose from when it comes to the best.

To come up with the ranking, Niche researchers assessed key factors in the neighborhoods that are meaningful to families, including the quality of schools, the crime and safety grade, the cost of living, among others. Each key factor is gathered from data from the U.S. Census, millions of reviews, rankings and grades, and rigorous analysis.
