Loose cash floated down the street Thursday after a bank heist in southwest Houston, according to reports.

Around 1:30, robbers hit up the BBVA Compass bank by Old Spanish Trail and Fannin, according to KPRC.

As the suspects fled the scene, they tossed wads of cash out the window, police told KTRK

Afterward, images of the scene showed passersby picking up stray bills on the ground.

Police scurried to collect the loot, some of which appeared to have been stained by a red dye.
