Conservatives in California are escaping to Texas, according to a Los Angeles Times report.

A profile this week by the outlet’s Jenny Jarvie followed a group of conservatives in the Dallas suburb of McKinney.

SCHOOL TIES: The most liberal, conservative colleges in Texas

A man named Paul Chabot launched a company called Conservative Move in May to help conservatives in blue states escape to red states to live among like-minded people. Chabot and his wife have four young children.

According to the L.A. Times the slogan of the company is “Helping families move Right” and Chabot has had plenty of interest in his cause. He’s a native of San Bernardino County. He and his family left California for McKinney this past year.

RED AND BLUE: Research shows America’s most conservative, liberal cities

McKinney is one of the fastest-growing communities in the state of Texas, just half an hour from Dallas proper. Houses are popping up fast and so is an infrastructure to support the families moving in.

“In California, it’s like liberals can do no wrong. No matter what we do, we’re beating our heads against the wall,” Chabot told Jarvie.

Of course with more companies relocating employees to free-wheeling Texas, some Democrats are infiltrating previously Republican-dominated communities. The dream of the Texas conservative might be harder fought than they believe.

TOMI SAYS: ‘Being a conservative is much harder than being a woman’

Still, Conservative Move is helping import more of them to Texas little by little.

Chabot shared a collection of emails from Californians who sincerely want out of that state, which they feel stifles opposing viewpoints to the liberal majority.

Chabot’s website helps Cali conservatives with employment opportunities, home listings, and even the ins and outs of living in Texas.
