A massive marijuana bust in Brazoria County on Tuesday netted more than 3,400 plants seized in an Angleton subdivision.

At 10 a.m., the Brazoria County Narcotics Task Force carried out search warrants on two bud-growing hotspots in Planters Point just outside Holiday Lakes, according to Freeport Police Department.

The DEA and DPS Criminal Investigation Division both pitched in on the raid. Officials estimated the illicit grow operations may have brought in more than $5 million a year.

Authorities did not immediately specify whether the bust ended in any arrests, but said that it is an ongoing investigation.
